We were going to file a bankruptcy with Jon and we’re new to this so we had no idea what we were doing. Jon made it seem like everything was going to be ok. Well even though we gave him paperwork he needed, some papers ended up “missing or not received.” We also paid up front completely and even though we had everything turned in, he NEVER kept in contact. Over a year later he finally emails us asking if we were still interested in filing and now that it was over a year we had to pay more. We paid an extra $400 and we’re finalizing things when he said we need to go from a chapter 7 to a 13 and would have to sell our house. That wasn’t an option so we decided to cancel the bankruptcy. When we asked Jon for a partial payment back, he said because it took US so long and we had a long meeting, that pretty much used up what money we did pay him. So he gets to keep over $1600 for doing not a damn thing. Now we have been trying to work with our debt collectors and now one of them has a garnishment our against me and because I kept emailing them they never responded to me. Finding out that they have still been contacting Jon and he never answered them several times. They couldn’t contact me because we were still showing we had a lawyer. This entire thing has been a big mistake and I regret working with Jon. He kept my money and him and his workers did nothing to earn the money. Use someone else if you can!
