Everyone at this firm is very personable, trustworthy, and understanding. Rita has assisted me in obtaining my residence. She is very knowledgeable and I would not be where I am now without her guidance. I can tell she really cares about me and treats me as more than just a client. I recommend her and her associates with the highest regard to any person who needs legal guidance; especially immigration.

I would not recommend this firm for disability cases. They may be great for immigration issues (and if you look at their facebook page, it certainly seems that is their main concern) but I feel my case was treated as an afterthought. There was a lot that could have been brought up during the hearing that wasn't, I presume because the lawyer couldn't be bothered to look through my history herself. Instead, she relied on her assitant, and a questionnaire that had nothing to do with my disability, to build my case. Any questions I had while waiting the two years to go to court were also handled by the assistant, which may have had an effect on at least one aspect of the case, as she gave me the wrong information. Had I lost the case but felt that the lawyer had done a good job anyways, I would be writing a different review. Instead, I'm fairly certain I could have done a better job of it myself. If I decide to appeal the decision, I will not be using her services again. P.S. I forgot to mention that, during the fifteen minute meeting we had immediately prior to the hearing (one of only three meetings we had during the two-year wait for the hearing), she told me that she had requested my records from my therapist twice in the past month, and that she never received them. After the hearing, I told my therapist what she'd told me, and he pulled up his records on his computer and told me that he had sent them both times they'd been requested. It makes me wonder whether she made any effort in my case at all. Is it possible to sue a lawyer for poor representation?
