When I first met with Lisa Brown, I was scared, confused and intimidated about the process of filing for divorce. I did not know if I could afford my legal fees, as well. After talking to Lisa for 20 minutes, I knew I was in excellent hands! She put my mind at ease with her compassion and knowledge of the law. I only wish I had gone to her sooner. She was patient with me and explained everything step by step. Every time we talked she made me feel better. I can't thank her enough for her excellent and affordable service. Payments were reasonable and the monthly billing made it easy to pay. I would strongly recommend Young, Fenton, Kelsey, & Brown, especially Lisa, who was amazing to work with.
Very knowledgable. I had a TON of questions and they took the time to answer all of them. The sale of my home could have been difficult because of the buyer's unreasonable requests, but my lawyer was excellent and took care of it!
I was (actually still am!) represented by Lisa Brown in a separation/divorce mediation. She is very attentive to return phone calls and emails, worked very hard to achieve what was in my best interest (though sometimes I wasn't very helpful in that regard) and in general helped keep me calm and encouraged as we navigated these most distressing waters of a marital breakup. We were able to avoid court litigation, which was very important to me. I would recommend her highly and without reservation.
I recently used the firm to purchase and sell a home. Although both deals fell through the firm was incredibly attentive and explained every step of the process very well. In fact, without Nicole's upfront advice I would have probably lost my deposit. First time home buyers will be very pleased. Thanks Nicole & Mary!!
Should be zero. I had contacted Andrea Kelsey several years ago to ask what the procedure was for divorce, she seemed helpful. Well time passed and my estranged husband never acted so it was not my priority. During covid, while recuperating from life saving surgery I was sent threatening letters from a lawyer my husband hired, he told me I had two weeks to take care of this!!! now keep in mind EVERYTHING was shut down due to covid, this was March 2020, several more came, I finally called Andrea Kelsey to reaffirm, I needed to do nothing until formally served, which I was in Feb 2021, on my birthday!! I immediately called her to give the go ahead. The divorce was uncontested, he was "giving me" the house, no problem. When I spoke to Andrea Kelsey she gave me a retaining fee of $1,500.00, she said this was less as she understood my situation. I said ALL I wanted was, the house in my name, the name I was going back to, my maiden name, she said fine and to have "permission" to go back to my maiden name. I kept getting fees for phone calls to husbands lawyer, to redo a paper because they had the wrong name on the form. I finally called and said what is this, I had already stated months back all I wanted so I could not understand why the lawyers were still calling each other, I was charged for that call!!!! September 2021 the new need was done, I recieved notice in Oct 2021, WITH MY MARRIED NAME ON IT!!!!! I could have just done this after the divorce was final as long as I had it in my decree. Then the final decree came from her, it was ripped and had a water stain on it and the name on it is wrong, when I called I was told "This is how your husbands lawyer sent it to us" well not true in part as the water stain was on their letter head!!!. She sent it to me this way, I paid roughly $2000.00 for this. I worked everyday except Friday, both am/pm to live, I have been under so much strain from the mental abuse from husbands, lawyers and still am not in the clear from my surgery, I complained about my husbands lawyer only to be told by the grievence lawyers, he did nothing wrong, so I won't waste my energy with this lawyer, they cover each other it seems. I hadn't noticed the incorrect initial on the decree, the social security office did, they were appalled as am I. DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER!!!!! I HOPE SHE ENJOYS MY MONEY.
