Unfortunately, I hired Amer Cunningham & Jack Morrison in 2007 for my divorce. Divorce/Domestic relations is not an area of practice or expertise for the firm or Jack, but that didn't stop him accepting my case. He didn't have the experience to advise me correctly, and everything he told me to do was wrong based on conversations with actual divorce attorneys. Jack was completely incompetent in court, unprepared and he filed motions incorrectly so the judge dismissed them. I fired him after only a couple months, he then sent me a bill for around $10,000. I should have filed malpractice to fight the fees then but I didn't because he was a family friend.
