I recently had to contact this firm. I was stressed and overwhelmed to say the least. First, I was prepared to have to wait to speak with an attorney. Not the case! I was immediately connected to an attorney within about 5 minutes In to the call. Second, pr a previous discussion with another attorney (which was a horrible experience), I thought I was going to leave the call feeling worse than I did when I started the call. Not the case!! I spoke with Richard Lapilusa or Rich. I was completely sold from the first word that came out of his mouth. He was soft spoken, engaged, and was willing to listen to my tear filled account of my situation. He was able to work with my financial situation, and he was very compassionate to what I had to say. That meant the world to me. I have never had to file for bankruptcy and had no idea what that even meant. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and in a way I could understand. That made my day. I have been so used to people looking down on me or like I'm beneath them because I am not financially in a good space and Rich made me feel like I could see a little light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Thank You!! Amourgis & Assoc for hiring people like this. I will shout your name from the mountain tops if I have to. Thank you for agreeing to help give me a little bit of my life back.

I’m going to be very honest, I had a mostly decent time with this firm. They were willing to do a payment plan for the fees and the conversations (when I had them) were mostly pleasant. Now for the reason for a 2 star review. When I was supposed to have a meeting with my attorney so we could finalize filing, it was supposed to be at 3:00pm on a Friday over the phone. I cancelled all of my plans to facilitate this meeting. Nothing. No phone call, nothing. I phone into their office only to be told that the attorney was “reviewing my file” and would call me back in about 20 minutes. I call back an hour later and was told that he would call be back in 10 minutes (4:20pm). I call back yet again at 4:55 and am told that the attorney had left for the day. I’m an understanding and patient person, however considering the fees Ive paid to file, I am not happy with the lack of consideration shown here and the fact that the attorney wasn’t prepped for my meeting is just mind boggling, especially to someone who worked in a law office and who’s responsibility it was to prepare the files for his attorney!
