This business should be rated ZERO or MINUS stars for their incompetent attorney service. Our house in the hot Seattle market took TWO YEARS to close the sale. Unbelievable that such disservice should even exist! What could be the reason? We had a qualified buyer right from the start. The house had no legal entanglements, just a simple, straightforward SELL THE HOUSE! Who wants to PAY for an attorney and then waste TWO YEARS having to prod, monitor, and insist on updates from the attorney to avoid further delays and nonaction? We were STUPID! Avoid our mistake. DO NOT CONTRACT this business!
If I could give negative stars I would. These guys handled the sale for my home and it was the worst experience ever. It took them over 6 months to return my escrow money and that was after numerous calls and emails. Everything about them felt extremely shady and I wish I had never used them. Unfortunately my real estate agent insisted on using them... it's worth changing agents after the experience I had with galvin!
Updated review.nnAfter some initial bumps Galvin was able to give me the advice I needed to proceed.nnWill use again.
The GRLG Legal and Escrow teams were rock stars when dealing with a particularly high stress transaction this past month. I represented the seller who was an attorney and the selling agent's client was also an attorney. Due to competing offers, the buyers released the earnest money to the sellers, but had a financing contingency protecting them from a low appraisal. Long story short, the initial appraisal came in at value, but it was reviewed at the last minute by the buyer's lender. While it was in review, the contract expired and there was a lot of confusion regarding the status of the Earnest Money and the contingencies. Then the appraisal review value came in low. Fortunately, the selling agent and I were able to keep the transaction together by changing lenders, and the GRLG team did a fantastic job keeping the buyer and sellers emotions and expectations grounded. The legal team gave the listing side great advice on how to proceed, and the escrow team was very professional when dealing with people from all sides, including the lender. Bottom line is that they were a key contributor in the success of this transaction. I continue to happily recommend them to all of my clients.
