He was honest and transparent about everything. With my previous attorney I was 1.5 years into this adoption- everything moving slow as molasses. I hired a lawyer, Christiana, from this firm to start a suit affecting the parent-child relationship and establish fatherly rights over my daughter. I paid the $3500 retainer and was told to do a paternity test. While we were waiting for results we progressed with the filing process. I got the results back and it turned out I was not the biological father of the daughter I had been raising for 5 years. After receiving that devastating information I called over to put a stop to the suit. So all we did was start a suit and then stop a suit. Anderson Legal Group managed to find a way to burn through the entire retainer during this 3 week period. Even worse I owe them more money on top of it. I never met with the lawyer in person again after our initial meeting and we never went to court. Beyond this firm being money hungry and soaking up every bit of money one might have. The lawyer I dealt with was very unsympathetic of my situation. She failed to follow through with what I wanted to do going forward. I feel like she drug it out several days with phone calls just to continue running up a bill. She also was very disorganized and failed to CC me on important documents that were time sensitive. Causing more phone calls for more money for them and ultimately more stress for me. If you are someone who is hiring a divorce/custody attorney chances are you are already at a low point in your life. Anderson Legal Group will not make your life easier during the stressful time in your life. They are too disorganized to give you peace of mind on your case and never explain anything that’s going on. They email it over and leave the rest up to you.
