I contacted Mr. Artusa in June to simply create and file divorce papers for my ex and I. Its now September. We had already been separated over 2 years, and we had agreements made for everything in advance, he accepted a payment plan for me(which he later used as an excuse as to why he hadn't done what I asked, even though he's been paid in full.) He never answers his phone. He has multiple addresses he says are his office and isn't at any of them. He lies continuously and is not to be trusted. I'm also filing a case against him and informing the NJ Board of Ethics about him. I'm not making any of this up, I have proof of his lies. I even tried contacting him right before posting this. No answer. Horrible person, even worse lawyer. A week later* I'd like to also add now that he's refusing to return my retainer fee and now I'm going to take him to court.

Mr Artusa and his staff were very caring, knowledgeable and responsive. Whenever I requested an appointment in person or over the phone, they made themselves available after hours and even weekends. My divorce was emotionally challenging and stressful. Mr Artusa was there when I needed him, was always on time to court and was extremely passionate. I got what I paid for and have no regrets. I highly recommend the Artusa Law Firm if you have a legal issue in New Jersey.

BEWARE & do your research! Look up Santo Artusa, as he has been reprimanded several times as per the Disciplinary Review Board of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. I paid him a retainer after one consultation (which admittedly was a HUGH mistake) decided not to go with him and asked for the return of my retainer. He claimed being sick and a whole heap of nonsense and excuses. I paid him in August of 2023 and it is now Dec 2023. He is now MIA.

I recently worked with Santo to dismiss a charge of unlicensed driving. Santo's extensive knowledge and expertise were evident from the beginning. He genuinely cared about my situation, listened to my concerns, and provided compassionate and professional support. The firm's responsiveness, even after hours, was remarkable. This man is a THIEF!! Unfortunately, I had all trust in him! BEWARE! I am filling a complaint with the NJ Ethics and Discipline Board. As well as retaining an attorney to SUE him, As well as all of the lies and deception his sold me. He was made well aware of how time sensitive my case was. And he chose to LIE AND STEAL! He will pay!! He will pay for his Legal NEGLIGENCE!! I advise ANYONE and EVERYONE who has been lied too, stolen from to reach out to another lawyer. They want to eat this man ALIVE! He brings an very bad and distasteful overall impression and trust issues for clients. Anyone who has/had entrusted Santo Artusa with their money, and he has not responded or gave some sort of run-around-to. Reach out to another attorney. They will help you! And be sure you put in a complaint with the NJ Ethics and Discipline Board! UPDATE: Responding to his RIDICULOUS REPLY! I paid you, and you didn't file it! Santo, you never gave any updates. My new attorney is coming for you buddy! See you in court!!
