I hired Sunney Kohlhoss to represent me in my child support and custody case, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Despite paying a $2,500 retainer, I received little to no transparency regarding how my funds were used. When I asked for an itemized billing statement, I was ignored. Now, I am being told I owe an additional $4,000 with no clear breakdown of charges. Communication was poor throughout my case, and every time I asked about fees, I received no real answers. After two years of delays—mostly due to the opposing party not responding—Sunney Kohlhoss filed to withdraw from my case and is now demanding excessive fees that I do not agree with. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone seeking fair, transparent, and ethical legal representation. If you are considering hiring them, I strongly advise getting everything in writing and asking for a detailed billing structure upfront.

Use this attorney to have a child support/ visitation case modified and moved from Lasalle county to Will county. Attorney failed to have case properly closed in Lasalle, attorney was contacted and fixed their mistake but now want to charge me a large amount of money for a mistake they made!! Filing fees would be one thing but I shouldn’t be paying you hourly to fix your own mistake!!

Horrible! The worst experience ever!! I had several different attorneys due to their high turnover rate and I was charged astronomical amounts for absolutely nothing. They definitely did not fight for me at all! I wish I would have used my original attorney that was unavailable at the time. Dont waste your time or your money.

Sunney always is willing to talk and discuss options and plans for how to proceed. She's been an advocate, a friend and an amazing throughout my divorce journey which has had plenty of problems, issues and pain to deal with as anyone knows. I can't say enough good things about her and Cathy and how great they are at keeping me updated, sending me documents or asking for the right documents from me when they needed it to help my case.
