Eight years ago, I called the law offices of Barbara Commerford. I was disabled and no longer able to work. Three times I filed for permanent disability with the Social Security Administration and three times I was denied. It was incomprehensible that someone in chronic pain due spinal disease, arthritis and damage to more than 60 percent of their vertebrae couldn't get help. It didn't seem to matter that my x-rays, CT scans and MRI reports all told the same story. It was clear to me after my second appeal that I was fighting an unwinable battle. The very next day I received another letter of denial. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that denial was mailed prior to the day of the very medical exam Social Security had scheduled. She immediately asked if the individual has medical records and when was the last time a doctor was seen. Before I could give her the information, she stated without recent visits to the doctor, there is nothing the office could do to help. That information was INCORRECT! The individual ended up hiring another law office and the attorneys won the case!! Ms. Comerford not everyone in your office is professionally qualified to answer questions for potential clients.
