I had conducted a Google search for custody lawyers in my area and Barbara's website was the first to come up. I liked what I read and made my consultation with her. I was even happier when I went in for that consult not having any knowledge about divorce, child support and custody. I left there feeling reassured that moving forward with my divorce would be much less daunting than I thought it was going to be. I knew upon leaving her office, that I wanted Barbara to represent me. That was over two years ago and I can honestly say that working with Barbara through my divorce, child support and custody has been absolutely seamless. And as challenging as these hearings can go at times, Barbara does her job so well that I always leave confident in knowing that things always work out. Barbara is a very experienced lawyer and her assistant Maria is truly amazing as well. They understand the emotions that a parent goes through when dealing with settling a divorce or discussing what is best for the child or children involved. Two years later, I am still working with Barbara and I can tell you when I left her office this week, everything worked out so well with finalizing my divorce and adjusting my custody agreement. I can't thank Barbara and Maria enough for supporting me both legally and emotionally.

I would't give one star. My case was very simple, but it was hard with this company, mixed communication no shows and a waste of money. Please think through before going through with this company.

I first reached out to Barbara Stein back in 2014 after having no luck with my custody case by myself. I originally believed that because i was confidant in my mothering abilities and the history that proved that so, the court would of course see that. I was very wrong. My ex tried his best to prolong the court date we had for custody and relocation by filing false PFA's which of course were dismissed once we went to court because there was no basis, but it was effective at pushing the custody date back. Now, two years later i am proud to say that Barbara called me this morning to let me know that PRIMARY CUSTODY HAS BEEN AWARDED TO THE MOTHER! I cried when she read those words to me, i couldnt help it. This has been a long and emotional journey but Barbara was there for me every step of the way. She was amazing during our 2 day custody case, you could just tell how her experience with these types of cases was only topped by the fact that she is truly passionate about awarding custody to parents who deserves to have it. Whatever is in the best interest of the child, and in most cases involves some sort of visitation between both parents. I cannot express how truly grateful I am to Barbara and Maria (her secretary, who is also an amazing person)! Without them my family wouldn't be were we are today, TOGETHER!!
