Barton Associates

I want to warn all Healthcare workers to do their homework against Barton Associates before signing up any contracts with them. I was hired as a locum Hospitalist by them to provide services to UMMC/RRH in upstate NY. They both were very anxious to hire me and join as a permanent staff but I didn't want to mislead them and kept in the loop that I am looking for better/permanent position. Barton Associate and UMMC/RRH expected me to give them a thirty day notice but they cancelled my signed contract weeks before the next assignment was due and cancelled this October 2022 assignment at less than seven days notice. I contacted both Barton Associate and United Memorial Medical center Batavia, NY managements that this was totally unethical, unprofessional on their part to treat me like this but basically did nothing to address my concerns and put me in a very sudden awkward position to look for another job on a such ridiculously short notice...!!!

Stay away from this agency! I was looking for a healthcare staffing agency and called Barton Associates. Got a call back from Rayne Hyle. She shared the salary at which I should hire a Pediatrician and it was 200% the market rate. I asked her what's the fee they are taking as an agency and she refused to answer. During the rest of the conversation, she came across aggressive and highly unprofessional. I called her back and let her know we no longer want to work with her or Barton Associates. Since then she had called the office twice leaving messages to work with us. We cleared said "no". 1) because of their lack of their transparency when it comes to fees and 2) because they keep calling our front desk when we clearly said we are not interested in working with them.

This is a horror show of a locums agency- they cannot retain people because of their terrible corporate culture. I have contacted the sales director Jeremy over 17 times without a return call and I my assigned agent has either been fired or quit 3 times in the last year. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY they are the worst of the three I’ve had experience with by far. Terrible customer service.

I recently completed an assignment with Barton in California. I was informed my flight and hotel would be covered. Flight was covered; however all ground transportation and luggage fees were declined. I was informed I needed navy scrubs only and dutifully packed only navy scrubs, socks, shoes, and work related items. I did not receive any breakdown of payment for wages and reimbursements until I requested one. I still do not have all of them.. Assignment abruptly ended. No notice was given to Locums providers to line up another assignment. Despite contracted dates to work; this company did not honor hours contracted by not worked. Recruiter advocated poorly for providers on the ground during Covid response.I would be careful if your choose to work with this company. Spell out every detail you expect to be covered and get it in writing.

This company has deteriorated terribly. Look elsewhere. I am a physician and have previously used Barton so I am in a position to comment. Currently, under CEO Rob Indresano, there is total chaos. They call incessantly telling you they have the perfect candidate or practice opening. When you talk, however, you’ll be fortuitous if they even know who you are never mind have your needs clear. So repetitively disappointing. I don’t enjoy complaining. I know how difficult hiring and training can be. Trust me, the services over past several months have been uniformly abyssal.
