My advice would be to NOT work with this attorney. Hired her a yr ago in OCT, for a child custody case. She was the cheapest, and I got the cheapest quality. Caught her many times lying about various issues, couldn't get responces, the mediation fees she inflated, when I heard the mediator say he was stopping clock. In a year's time, I got mediation. She gave poor advice on an assigned judge. I asked many times about temporary child support hearing, and never got filed. She failed to pull other parties record PRIOR TO MEDIATION, even though I asked her MANY times to do this. Final straw was she supposedly got a court date after a yr, and I discovered she had NOT EVEN PULLED THE OTHER PARTIES DRIVING RECORD! My NEW attorney let me know she had NOT secured any such final hearing date. Another lie. I terminated her, then she got really busy, and sucked out all but 20.00 of my 1000 retainer. Due to "late billing". AFTER I sent her termination letter, my new attorney reached out to her to see if she would provide context for case. She then charged hourly rate after she had been let go. I am reaching out to GA fee arbitration board. SHE IS A NEGLIGENT TRAIN WRECK. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS ATTORNEY. Pay MORE FOR REPUTABLE ATTORNEY..YOU'RE GONNA SAVE MORE MONEY, GET BETTER REPRESENTATION, AND SAVE TIME. EVEN IF IT SEEMS LIKE ALOT UPFRONT, GOING CHEAP FOR THIS REPRESENTATION IS NOT BEST COURSE.

4 years to the date of mediation, I have had to hire an attorney because ex can not comply to the settlement terms. She did not do her due diligence to verify if the terms were legally possible. Plus she did not catch that he has a second retirement account that I should be receiving money from. Bergstrom DOES NOT look out for clients. Stay far far away

I dealt with Bergstrom & Associates back in 2015 for a child support case and I was pleased with how they handled the case at first. They were very responsive and communication was good. They tried to help me as much as they could but then it all dropped off after the first hearing. I'd call, leave messages and send emails and had a hard time getting anyone to respond to me. When I did get someone, it was clerk basically who said they would pass messages on. That never happened apparently or my messages were just ignored. I also asked for my court order after the case was over and it took forever to receive that and then they wouldn't even send me a signed order. Then when I finally received an email, it was about an invoice that needed to be paid. I sent a response and called to leave messages asking for the details/how much and when it was to be paid. I received no response for quite some time. When I finally heard from them it was through collections, telling me I needed to pay. I respond "how am I supposed to pay a invoice and Idk how much it is or when I need to pay it, also how am I supposed to pay it if no one answers the phone or returns emails and messages"? I just heard silence on the phone, then... "well if you pay then they'll answer your questions and send you the signed court order". Obviously this conversation wasn't with the brightest individual, so I send an email to Marlys who seemed to be more helpful than anyone else there. She finally lets me know how much I owe after I spent months trying to find out. I pay the invoice. Now the issue after that, was still me receiving my signed court order. Now you can probably guess how long this took... I recieved my final order towards the end of 2016 after calling many times and sending numerous emails. My final order was completed the last day of 2015 and I couldn't get them to send me the order the judged signed for damn near for around 10 months. I also wasn't informed that I was to pay a portion of my Childs mothers attorney fees. My attorney stood in court for me as I was unable to attend because I'm from a different state and I wasn't informed as to when or the amounts. Other ppl may have had good experiences with them but mine was definitely not a pleasant one. I now see a poor excuse in response, 4 years after my dealings with Bergstrom Law... Pathetic. The attorney that dealt with my case worked at your firm during that time frame, and for quite some time afterwards. Dont blame your poor business/personnel management solely on the attorney when you are responsible too.

If you are shopping for an attorney, keep looking. This company is in turmoil and no one, i mean no one is carring the mop. ...................................................... In your response to my review you only approach one subject and that was the issue of the attorney leaving your practice. That is not the biggest issue for me. The biggest issue is that you double billed my credit card you are now in possession of $2,000 that does not belong to you. When I inquired why, your response was to try to say that I authorized it. I don't know about everyone else but I know when I have authorized $2,000 to come off my credit card. Your other response was that you were not notified by the other attorney. Well I notified you that you have taken $2,000 that does not belong to you. However you have yet to give it back. What I would like to know is why I had to notify you at all? Is that a common practice for your company to double bill? I would think that your company would catch something like that. Instead because I have been in the hospital and dealing with some other issues it was two months before I saw my credit card bill. So you were in possession of the $2,000 for two months before I called you and told you that you had double billed me. I have to wonder is that any way to run a business? For those who are reading these reviews I will post every week to let you know just how long it takes me to get my money back. I will also be finding anywhere I can write a review and I will be writing one.
