Reviews

I first was recommended to Bolthouse law by another attorney. After years of paying overpriced lawyers who didn't want to help, I was at a loss. It was Katie Steffes that took my case.I had wasted so much money in the past trying to get the help I needed in my custody case. She made it clear she wanted to help and was willing to work with me. Her kindness and compassion was what kept me going throughout the whole process. Not only was she understanding throughout the entirety of the case but very responsive and respectful; as well as organized and well spoken. There are even times I had messaged her and she got back to me within the next hour. It was a long drawn out case with tons of information to go through. I couldn't of asked for a better attorney. She is 100% there for her client and I highly recommend her.
I have loved working with this firm. Truly the best out there. Also always attentive to any issue you may have big or small and they make you feel like you are part of their family. So thankful for the recommendation I received to have them help with my family law needs.
I never reviewed but feel compelled to. When I came to this “law” office, I was told at my initial meeting with Christine W (supposedly under Michelle’s guidance) that my case was an easy win. The girls were giggling because it was such a shoo-in since I had all the evidence I needed to win my case. THEY SUCKED. I lost my dog to my ex thanks to these attorneys. My lawyer kept going back and forth with my ex’s and her confidence quickly diminished when she realized how thorough he was. At one point she said my ex was willing to give me $2,000 to not go to court and I could use that money to buy another dog and she was like, “this is so great! No one ever makes an offer like this!” Lady, I could have saved the $2,000 in lawyer fees and bought another dog, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE POINT! I wanted MY dog. My ex hired the best attorney in the state. I hired the worst. She recommended I include my ex’s dad’s name (a veterinarian) in my paperwork to “scare them” so we knew we were serious. Do you know what happened? They wanted to sue me $250,000 for defamation! That’s right! I almost lifelong debt based on her advise!! Come court, and she showed up with hot pink acrylic nails, and was absolutely unprepared. I heard less “ums” in high school speeches. I lost my dog because of these people. They only care about money. Not representing you. Why post when it was 2017? After all these years I still feel the loss and am still heartbroken. I saw a photo of him, and he’s greyed and has gotten so overweight. It broke my heart to see he isn’t cared for. I still remember the false hope I had that it was going to be easy and that I had everything I needed to win… I just don’t want someone to lose something that meant everything to them or be given a false hope.
I called twice inquiring about their services with regards to easments. I spoke to the registration girl, and both times she said she would have somone follow up with me. They never returned my call or contacted me. Hard to reccomend if they never follow up like the said they will... EDIT: Mitchelle, a representative reached out to me regarding my original review. She had told me that they had a temporary receptionist, and that could have been the reason for the breakdown in communication. Given this, I would consider trying to use them again in the future.
I had a great experience working with Victoria Drake at this law firm. She helped me navigate both child custody and real estate matters. Very timely, professional, and knowledgeable. I couldn't have chosen a better attorney to represent me. Highly recommend.
