Must be nice to have enough business to abandon courtesy and professionalism. I have worked on two large scale home construction projects in the past year, one requiring roof trusses and another requiring specialized treated posts. Both times I have called Burton to inquire about pricing and availability. Both times the person in the lumber yard was rude and condescending. I approached the first situation with a year of lead time, understanding the present supply chain challenges, but was told in no uncertain terms that they really only do business with large contractors. On my second phone call, I got as far as giving the length of the posts I needed before the man on the phone interrupted me mid sentence with a terse, "Nope," then offered no further explanation. I have no issues with the fact that they don't carry the product I need, but interrupting a customer with such an abrasive, unhelpful remark is uncalled for. I have no intention of ever working with Burton again, but I doubt they care much at this point.
Terrible customer service. Spent close to $10k in doors throughout the house and almost every door needed modification to fit, even when they were given the original doors from the house to cut them from. Did I mention they lost our original doors? Multiple full frame doors were far off from the measurements given and no effort to make things right were even remotely offered. Instead was told a custom door could cost me over $200k. Customer satisfaction is non-existent and would never go back. Thomas Lee messed up on multiple transactions and I should have learned my lesson the first time.
