We highly recommend Mr. Willmott. We used Mr. Willmott for a modification of custody case. Our situation was complicated and had huge challenges to overcome. Mr. Willmott has extensive knowledge and wisdom on the laws involving custody/ divorce. If he doesn’t already know how the law will apply to a specific problem he will research it. He does not want to keep you on the phone or long emails and rack up your bill. He is very expensive but worth it! (Hence why we are saying thank you on this review and not in an email ????) If you come from a southern/ country background like us Mr. Willmott’s personality might seem blunt or like he doesn’t care but that’s just probably how he was raised up north. He is very matter-of-fact and knows the process inside and out being a board-certified lawyer (this is an extra level of expertise than a regular attorney) and he is a mediator. He stays calm even if you are emotional or stressed. Our only small regret was agreeing to a social investigator. Our case was able to settle after 2 mediations and a social investigation. The social investigation took a year or the case would have probably settled or went to court sooner. Mr. Willmott always forwarded emails involving our case right away and responded quickly to our emails. Sometimes he may seem like he’s not giving you any hope because he does not give false promises but realistic expectations and possible outcomes. Mr Willmott is a “Master” member of Florida Family Law American Inn of Court which is an organization of Lawyers that meet monthly. To be a member of this club you must be nominated and practice with the highest integrity. From our first interaction with Mr Willmott in April 2021, we never felt like he didn’t advise what was best for our case. We are thankful to God that our former attorney recommended Mr. Willmott to us! From our entire family; Thank you Charles for your dedication to our case. This review is based on a request for a consultation. My husband contacted his office and told him about our desire to change the child custody order he has with his ex-wife. My step-daughter has revealed that she experiences emotional abuse & worse while at her mother’s house. Mr. Willmott’s website implies that he is equipped to handle such custody cases. During a phone call, he quickly shut down my husband stating that “he would not win a case like that without proof/mental counseling.” If I am correct, isn’t gathering proof and requesting mental evaluations part of the lawyer’s job? I would not suggest this lawyer to anyone unless they wanted a lazy lawyer that only deals with clear cut, “easy to win” cases.

Mr.Willmott is an excellent attorney. He is intelligent, kind and very hardworking. My fiancée and I unfortunately obtained poor legal council prior to Mr.Willmott and all I can say is representation truly matters. Mr.Willmott got us exactly what we wanted and completely turned the case around for us. We truly truly cannot say enough good things about him. His communication and understanding are unmatched. Where do I start? Wow, never thought after 20 years of marriage I would find myself in this situation, but I can tell you what over a years time having the right legal support will do for you. Charles is well versed in what he does, he will be very frank with you even when things seem rocky and help you to see light at the end of the tunnel when you reach that point and feel there is no end, he will get you across the finish line. You may have questions, he answers promptly, but he doesn't waste your time and funds unnecessarily like others may do. Going through mediation with him is where you finally get to see where someone who is well versed goes into action, patient, courteous, and when cornered with unrealistic terms he comes alive like a pit bull cornered, and let me be frank with you, if you didn't retain Charles, you'll wish you did!
