When dealing with a lawyer I wanted someone personable. I had the pleasure of working with Attorney Sean Plumb. I went through a very difficult divorce and child custody battle. His responsiveness, analytical skills, research and organizational skills were amazing. He always listened to my every concern and he came very prepared for court each time. His knowledge and compassion made such a difference during this life changing time. I highly recommend working with Attorney Plumb you won’t have any regrets. His legal representation restored my faith in the system.
I had the pleasure of working with Attorney Plumb. I trusted him to protect me in a complicated court matter and he succeeded my expectation. He listened to my every need that I had. He explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand. He was always very responsive when I had questions and he put me at ease. If anyone if looking for a knowledgeable attorney and a great price, then go to Attorney Sean Plumb. I will work with this law office again.
I worked with Anthony Sasso of Costello, Brennan, DeVidas, Sasso and Sinclair, P.C. for my dissolution. I had a lot of ups and downs, postponements, questions, changes to orders, etc. Anthony was always patient with me and willing to do whatever I asked without making me feel judged or burdensome. I have legal insurance through my employer and was able to use it without an issue. In addition, when Anthony was unavailable, he put me in contact with another attorney who promptly picked up my case and helped out in the interim. I would absolutely refer anyone to their office, especially to Anthony. I seriously cannot thank him enough.
This place is a mess. So let’s go down the list of things that went wrong. 1. I found this firm through my benefit program with my employer. They gave me a claim number to give them. When I called and spoke to the front desk they told me I wouldn’t need it bc my benefit wouldn’t cover anything. That was a lie! They refused to fix this when talking to me. They ended up going back and forth with the company and adjusting my bill. 2. I paid my retainer and expected my lawyer to be with me on my court date. My lawyer never showed up. A replacement came afterwards and spoke to me about what happened and yes I was charged for the talk. The whole point is I didn’t want to go in alone. Who puts up a $7000 retainer for no one to show up?! Regardless if the other party showed up or not. 3. I would call the lawyer spoke to her for 5 minutes and get billed for 25 minutes. When the fee for talking to the lawyer is $500 an hour this matters. I was also billed for a 2 hr conversation that only went on for 45 minutes. 4. When calling their front desk they aren’t very friendly. 5. Everyone works for money. It’s when you take advantage and have no compassion that’s an issue. They know my situation. I hired them because I’m in a high stress situation and needed help navigating it. They add to the stress because I have to time the phone calls to make sure I was billed properly. Contact a social worker and have her pull her phone records to verify how long they spoke. This just shows a lack of integrity. As a single mother fighting who is dealing with legal issues this shouldn’t be a problem. The only positive was the lawyer was actually nice (besides the billing issues). At the end of the day she helped me through a hard situation. GOOD LUCK! I hope you all have a better experience than I.
Attorney Plumb seemed genuinely unprepared for court. he failed to provide me with questions pretrial that he was going to ask me on the stand , in which I had to prepare before my hearing with the judge, in the court . He also didn't prepare any questions for cross examination. Didn't print out text messages I had sent him for evidence. He also let me waste thousands of dollars that could have been recovered by the other party with no real intention of going after the other party on multiple occasions.although he stated otherwise. His lack of attention to detail also cost me time with my kids as he just presents you with the other partys agreements that are missing critical details or with stipulations that I had clearly stated for MONTHS that were unacceptable without any recommendations or comments. Infact on multiple occasions these agreements were sent with "please sign and get this back to me" Evening after an audience with the judge, where an agreement was made , he failed to state important parts of the agreement. Almost said nothing in fact. After we had left a hearing, which the sole purpose was to either come to an agreement or have the judge decide , we are back to square one because attorney Plumb had failed to even voice what I wanted in the agreement. No problem if you charge by the quarter hour. These are just some of the problems with the representation of this office. There is many more issues I could outline but In conclusion, I feel like these attorneys weren't interested in fighting for my rights as a father, fighting for my stolen property, and generally bargining with all of your interests in mind. On one occasion even was pulled aside by the opposing attorney before court for a conversation and didn't feel the need to disclose any details of the conversation when I asked him about it.
