Absolutely avoid employment or support in the way of purchasing their products. This company should be considered by the Connecticut and Massachusetts Department of Labor’s as hostile. If you accept a position at this company, you will be lucky to last a year. The CEO cannot be trusted, and God only knows why he’s still an employee. CEO’s and other executives are usually rated on their successes and other accomplishments. He has none at the company, sorry, one exception. He loves showing off his hair and spending the owner’s money on himself and his chosen ones. The head of marketing if you can call her that is truly tragic. She has absolutely no imagination, vision or creativity. It’s a bath a body company. How hard can it be? Most of the products they sell are substandard in quality and could easily be sold at Bath and Body Works for a fraction of the cost. Her “tribe” concept is offensive and lacks originality. Most of her #’s do not fit with a beauty brand and were taken or stolen from The North Face. The head of marketing, sorry, for not have a specific title as she changes it frequently as not one achievement that she can add to her resume. She has clearly been promoted well beyond her level or lack of expertise. She is evil to the core, rarely sober, rude, condescending and will stab you in the back immediately following any conversation or even your introduction. I have never met a person with so many personal and professional issues. Using very own words, she is “tragic”. CEO of Supply Chain. Knows nothing about supply chain, has a fake British accent, is as phony as they come, rude, offensive, needs to stop hiding in the closet, and most of the traits used to describe the head of marketing apply to this one as well. It can be amusing to see how the head of marketing manipulates the CEO and CEO, Harvey Supply Chain. Unfortunately, both are so afraid that the head of marketing is scheming behind their backs to get them fired and that is exactly what she is doing. The head of Global Regulatory Affairs. She may already be a causality of the inner war at Crabtree. If so, great. I cannot remember one time she spoke the truth. She is devious, manipulative and cannot keep up with her own lies. Which is why she rarely looks at you directly. She should keep to her skill set instead of trying and succeeding to make others look stupid. Bottom line. She thinks she knows it all. She was and may still be the hit man for the trio mentioned in this post. Good luck if you are an employee and someone considering working for this mess. A true visionary stick to their vision, it should not change daily. One day you’re suddenly a unisex brand, the next day you’re not. Inclusion brands support inclusion and don’t even have to try at it, their action and public support speak louder than their brand. Crabtree does not. Everything this brand does is so desperate. Everyone in the industry knows whose to blame for the disaster at Crabtree. You.
How tragic that google has selected to delete the majority of the bad reviews that this company has received. Crabtree & Evelyn is the most toxic, and disappointing career move I have made in my professional life. There is no trust, abusive language, public humiliation, no discipline, lack of respect for others, abuse of power, and a continuous display of stupidity and desperation decision making made and communicated daily from the executive team daily. This company does not value talent or the experience of the employees they hire. Your hired one week and fired the next. This company will continue to fail with the current executive team, they've pretty much destroyed the company and brand already to a point of non recovery. This brand is dead.
Sold out, always treated work force like dogs, still trying to sell off old inventory, miss managed for years, non sanitation problems, trying to ho food grade, kid's made lead's, smoking weed, talking about guns, not focused, big joke to them, workers, hard true family to feed, again punks as leads, get the hell of of Putnam, take AAA staffing with you
