Crowne Plaza Resort And Golf Club

The location and view from the hotel is wonderful and the rooms are comfortable and pretty nice though not exactly brand new looking in a few spots but nothing worth complaint. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous though we dealt mostly with a dark haired young man at the front desk (I forget his name but he deserves a shout out) who was excellent. My only recommendation would be to provide a nice outdoor seating area that is not part of the restaurant for guests to use. All of that said, next time we come to Lake Placid we will definitely stay here again.

Very nice place. Clean room. Beautiful views if you get a mountain view room. My only complaint was with the breakfast. I feel like it was overpriced for what it was. Seemed like it may be an adaptation of the times we are in but I am not sure seeing as this is the for time I've stayed there. Friendly staff good prices. Would definitely stay again

We truly enjoyed our stay at Crowne Plaza Lake Placid and recommend it for many reasons. 1) Location, Location, Location: Crown Plaza Lake Placid is conveniently located on top of a hill overlooking Mirror Lake, which offers nice views of the scenic mountains. The hotel is in walking distance (2-3 minutes from the front entrance and down a walking path) to the south end of Main Street, which is a perfect distance away from the Main Street's hustle and bustle and a close walk to the shops and restaurants for the family. It is truly a versatile location in regards to Main Street and Mirror Lake. 2) Things to do: At the hotel you can go for a swim, relax in the outdoors areas overlooking the lake or in the clean and cozy rooms. If you want to go for a stroll down Main Street, there are canoe and kayak rentals on the North end of Main Street, small park with jungle gym, tennis, picnic area, public boat launch (non-motorized),and swimming on the South end of Main Street along Mirror Lake (5-10 minute walk from the from entrance). The hotel also has a small private beach with restrooms, lawn chairs, and kayaks to borrow 10-15 minutes walk around Mirror Lake. 3) Decor: When you roll up to Crowne Plaza Lake Placid, you would imagine this lodge style hotel to be sitting on a mountain in Aspen, CO. It's nicely built and decorated and one of the nicest venues in the area in my opinion. The lodge style theme is very welcoming, clean, and well kept. It has a high class and luxurious ambience and will not disappoint you. 4) Staff: Front desk and maintenance staff are all very friendly and keep the premises and guests cared for around the clock. It truly is a world class staff and will make your stay even better. You are in good hands and they will be able to provide suggestions for local things to do and upcoming events for your next visit.

Amazing place. Clean beautiful rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future

Perhaps this would have been more charming if we stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The regular rooms are no different than any 3 star hotel I've been to. Otherwise helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and good place to stay if you want to be close to town in Mirror lake / lake Placid.
