Litigious happy. My counsel, said “I deal with Featherstone all the time. This is what he does. Under these circumstances,will we have to sue, but we will win”. Rather than sue, we moved on and accepted a less than favorable offer. I now regret, should have listened to MY attorney. It’s attorneys, so I get it… What was it Shakespeare said?
After deciding to initiate a legal contract dispute, I initially contacted Johnson Savery of Dunlap Moran who had successfully resolved various legal issues for me some years ago. John’s first reaction was to advise me not to proceed on the basis that engaging in the type of legal action I contemplated I would probably not recover my legal costs, even if successful. Unusual but sound advice. When I assured John that I accepted this probability but nevertheless I wanted to proceed, he referred me to his colleague Dan Jackson who handled the type of contract litigation required. From the beginning it was a pleasure working with Dan, an extremely competent, young man. He quickly grasped all the detail. The case was successfully resolved (to my satisfaction - obviously I cannot comment on the defence satisfaction or otherwise) at the compulsory mediation stage. Throughout, including at the mediation conference, Dan offered sensible, sage advice.
Attorney Ryan Featherstone is excellent. Many of my customers have selected him to complete their real estate transactions and they have all been exceedingly pleased. Many of my customers have used Ryan multiple times for different real estate transactions. Ryan and his team are diligent and prompt in all of their replies.
