When my employer denied my disability benefits for a long term illness, I called Essex Richards from a friend referral. I have never been through these issues but I knew I needed a strong Attorney who is an ERISA expert. They agreed to represent me and began working immediately. Tona Ravenell is the Legal Assistant and she kept me apprised of everything that was transpiring. Attorney Norris Adams and Tona compiled the information and filed my Appeal. Within a very short time, my disability denial was reversed. The Appeal documents were impressive; on point and factual. After the travesty of being terminated from my Long Term Disability plan for no reason other than The Hartford's playbook, I was left in a very bad position. I cannot thank Mr. Adams and Ms. Ravenell enough for what they did for me. It is unfortunate that no punitive action can be taken against The Hartford for this practice.
