Faga Law Group

I was referred to Faga Law Group, specifically to Tony, but he had recently passed away so Michael Mummert took my custody case. I had never hired an attorney before, and he assured me I would be in good hands and that he would not be outrageous with the billing. He "summarized" the contract to retain his firm and left out the fact that the $3500 retainer was non-refundable. At the time of my second in office meeting, Michael and his wife, who works in the office, had a petty argument about changing the toner in the copy machine. This went on for 10-15 minutes while I awkwardly sat there. Every time I emailed, wrote through the portal, or called, I was ignored. It would take 3-4 attempts to reach the office before I would get a response regarding the progression of my case. My request was to get the parenting plan changed. I never received a copy of the document that was served to my ex, but the things on that document were not representative of what I wanted. I did not want my ex to give up his parental rights, I just wanted the visitation changed. The online portal shows how your retainer is being allocated. The only charge I saw was $500 for service of the law suit. None of Michael's time was entered. When my ex was served, he wanted to avoid going to court, so we settled out of court. At the time of this settling, the only charge on my account was $500. I messaged through the portal requesting a refund of the unused $3000. No response. I phoned, left a message because the person I needed to speak with was out of the office. I was assured she would phone me the next day. No return call. I finally mailed a letter to the office, and have yet to hear any response. Michael assured me he wouldn't screw me financially. He saw my financials and knows I was overstretched to come up with his fees. I don't know how Faga law group can look at themselves in the mirror. I do not recommend this law group for any of your legal needs.

Got to give one star based on both attorney's serious lack of experience. Get it together Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb!

This law group was rude and unprofessional. They were completely unorganized in our real estate closing. They could not be bothered to help us in providing our closing paperwork. Paperwork that should have been given to us when we closed the transaction. I would not trust them with any of your legal needs.
