I fell in water at a store and hurt my right ankle and hip. I was in extreme pain and I drove to the Our Lady of the Lake valet parking lot. The workers completely ignored me after many tries to get their attention and not helping me get a wheelchair. I sat with my foot swelling , pain and pounding. After 45 minutes the valet got to me. After that I needed X-rays and the staff was very rude and didn't care that I was in extreme pain. They were ugly when they ask me to pay. I left vowing to never go back. I only have 1 doctor I now see at FMOHL, if I ever decide not to see him, I'm leaving FMOHL for good!

I really wish I had something better to say about the FMOL MidCity clinic that I'm visiting currently. I plan on leaving there to go to a different clinic outside of this network, for primary care. I sent a request nearly 3 weeks ago for vitamin testing, to be done at the time of my cholesterol screening, after speaking with a specialist about having it done. No response from anyone through MyChart 2 weeks later. After I did two follow-up calls, I get a random MyChart message from a different nurse that completely ignores my request about the vitamin testing, as if no one told her what my actual question was. I have gotten deficient in Vitamin D twice in the past, anyway, and that's in my health record, already. Apparently, you have to practically tell the providers to do anything other than standard testing, because they don't bother to be proactive. When I complained about extreme fatigue, as it is related to an existing digestive condition, vitamin testing was something that my provider should have thought to have done. My last appointment was at 9:30 am, and I wasn't even seen until 2 hours later. My visit with my provider didn't take more than 20 minutes. She apologized about the wait, but now I feel like I was treated like I had to be the one to know what needs to be done. This is unfortunate, because it makes me feel like my provider, after a two-hour wait, cannot think to do vitamin testing, when a patient complains about constantly being fatigued. I'll go to a provider who is more proactive, and actually reads through my chart, while paying attention to stated symptoms. It also doesn't seem, from looking at these reviews, that Franciscan is active enough in addressing these complaints about their healthcare network. A 1.7 star average rating must not really matter to them. Update (5/22/24): I initially posted this review on May 10th. The administration's reply was on the same day, and so was my email to them, at the provided email address. They never responded to my email, not even after I followed up on Monday, May 20th, to ask why they hadn't responded. Posting this update here, for transparency about business practices.

I have been a patient at Our Lady of the Lake for well over 60 years, numerous doctors, surgeries an procedures, all without any problems. Now I depend on their excellent level of care for the chronic conditions of old age. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

Took my child to your Scott ER while visiting LA. Front desk lady got my kid's name wrong, had to write it down for her, still got it wrong, apparently got my benefits number wrong too despite me handing her my benefits card with the number on it plain as day. This was nov of 2022. In Jan 2023 we get a bill as the insurance didn't cover it, for the obvious reasons of that person doesn't exist because the name and number were wrong. I called the admin phone number, and explained the situation and got the info corrected, supposedly. They said they would re-submit and it all would work out. Fast forward to jan 2024, I get a bill for the same issue, with my kid's name still wrong and my benefits number still wrong. I call again and am told they can't do anything about it i just have to pay it because its over a year old, it's over a year old because your employees are incompetent. I paid it, good riddance, 0 out 10 stars, 10 out of 10 would not recommend.
