Asked them some questions about whether my previously made, signed, and notarized POA was still valid, or if I needed a new one. Literally just a two page read, and they suggested I come and meet. Didn’t give rates, didn’t do any actual legal work, no document prep, just a “yeah you’re still good unless you want to make changes.”(paraphrasing) They then charged me $67.50 for “services rendered” and sent me a surprise bill while I’m deployed. Very dishonest practice as I was led to believe in the phone call before going in that it wasn’t a charge unless I had them make a new one. Guess when the money gets tight you gotta squeeze it from any loopholes you can. Wish I could give zero stars.
