I hired John Gilmore to handle my case in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic one of the strangest times to be dealing with criminal charges, to make matters worse I was living states away from Texas where I had pending charges against me, but that didn’t stop him from taking my case on. He was able to quickly handle the warrants out for my arrest and work a deal out with the court that was more than fair. I don’t have to worry about the burden of a felony charge because John was able to get a full dismissal on that. He was responsive to my questions and professional throughout the whole case. He gave me a fair price and even worked a payment plan out with me. I would highly recommend John Gilmore for anyone who has criminal charges and wants them to be resolved quickly. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.
Working with John Gilmore and Carin Groh was a very nice experience. This was the first time we had to go through legal challenges and John and Carin have been here ever step of the way to explain things in a very simple way. We faced false allegation of assault and this was very scary but John and Carin got our case dismissed after the first hearing. They are both very compassionate persons and were very responsive. They understood right away our distress and worked with us to get this matter settled very rapidly.
To start, I'd like to say there are not enough words to express how thankful I am for John and his team from the bottom of my heart. In the world we live in today and in times of need we may feel helpless and alone. This is how I felt before I met John. Since the first call I made to his office I felt a small sign of relief and peace. John showed me there was hope in my case and a good outcome if I stayed strong. He saved my son's life from any further trauma he had to endure. John never questioned my family or had any doubts about us, not even once. He stayed up late hours and answered every phone call or text as promptly as he could. He guided us and hovered every step of they way. John was the light in our greatest storm yet, he is our super hero and we are honored to have worked with him and his team.
After taking our payment, John Gilmore basically went MIA. Horrible representation, we ended up having to do all the work ourselves and are now suffering financially because we had to pull money together from family to pay for NO SERVICE! He didn't even contact my husband until after his court hearing so he had no legal representation. I had to arrange a virtual meeting between Mr. Gilmore and my husband and send Mr. Gilmore the paperwork from the TDCJ website to fill out and fax to the prison library to request the meeting. C'mon shouldn't he know what to do, he's the lawyer!!! Everyone involved didn't care that my husband was sitting in a halfway house for almost 6 months because the paperwork kept getting "lost". I had to finally reach out to the parole board and interstate compact office myself and that's when things finally started moving. Mr. Gilmore quit taking our calls and had his "assistant" Claire Woodson screen his calls so he didn't have to talk to us. His assistant finally sent an email to the parole board and interstate compact office only after I reached out to them. So unprofessional. Thanks for nothing! Don't get ripped off like we did!
I can’t stress enough how much help I’ve gotten from these folks. Particularly, John Gilmore who explains every course of action step by step with you and ensures that he’s willing to find the best option. He won’t take anything less and if he’s given the short end of the stick then he’ll try once more to make sure every solution is explored.
