Run away. Case was mishandled. Multiple items were not submitted into electronic file. They knew there were issues and didn't stay on top of it even after I asked them to. My brief was not submitted to the judge prior to my hearing and the judge ripped into her. She argued with him instead of apologizing. It was a disaster. Ms. Furlow was not prepared or familiar with my case. Has other issues I won't disclose. Randy was incredibly sweet and amazing. They were great when we started 2 years ago. I don't know when they lost their drive and desire to care about quality of work. It truly cost me my case. I'm so disappointed and sad.

I cannot recommend using this attorney with handling a Social Security Disability (SSD) claim. They may have been better at one time but, that is hardly the case now. The only real advice they gave me was to hand write, vice type, the Social Security documents. All documents were to go through them and they would handle the submission. In many cases, I provided additional documentation to help with my claim. I found that the paralegal handling my case was not reviewing those documents and MAY not have been submitting them to the Social Security Office handling my claim. Like so many others, my initial claim was denied and I received instructions in the denial letter for requesting an appeal. The letter from Social Security indicated I needed to submit SSA-3441 and SSA-561-U2 to start the process. I then downloaded and completed the SSA-3441 and hand delivered it to Brenda Furlow’s office. I subsequently called to ask about the second form- SSA-561-U2 and was told by Brenda’s paralegal that it didn’t need to be submitted. I subsequently called the main Social Security phone number and was told there are three items that MUST be submitted to start the appeal and they were SSA-3441, SSA-561-U2 and SSA-827. The latter is just an updated authorization to disclose information to Social Security. It was at this time that I no longer trusted Brenda’s office with my claim. I downloaded and completed (typed this time) all the forms, along with other pertinent information, already provided to the paralegal, and hand delivered them to the local Social Security Office. In the end, my appeal was approved. I DO NOT believe it would have had I not stopped listening to this attorney and started dialogue with Social Security myself. One can imagine why an attorney would tell a client not to provide a requested form. Perhaps it would be to draw the case out and thereby bring in more revenue. I just don’t know for sure!
