I called them on my own free will and the collector was so rude from the start , so I just paid online so they didn’t get any commission LMAO, treat people better! This debt was from my husband losing his job the same week I had a newborn baby and we almost lost our home, you never know what people had to go through. Kindness is key
Recently this year, I was served legal papers by the Gurstel Law Firm in Scottsdale, AZ. I recognize that we all have obligations, and life can become challenging. When I contacted their office to negotiate my debt, I was fully prepared to reach an agreement right then and there, as I had a clear budget in mind. However, the firm refused to engage in a productive dialogue and chose to intimidate me instead. This disrespectful approach was unacceptable, so I made the decision to hire an attorney to fight this battle on my behalf. Choosing the Law Office of Richard Groves and Art was a game-changer. They did an outstanding job representing me and approached my situation with genuine compassion. They took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, making me feel understood and supported, rather than ashamed of my circumstances. They kept me updated every step of the way, and I only needed to contact them when they required my signature or approval. While there is a one-time fee for their services, it is worth every penny for the commitment they show in fighting for your case. Mr. Groves is relentless in advocating for his clients against large corporate entities. I am immensely grateful for their expertise and the valuable knowledge they imparted. We all face difficulties, and it's frustrating to see predatory law firms take advantage of vulnerable individuals. If you find yourself in a similar situation, do not hesitate to reach out to them. They are dedicated professionals who will go above and beyond to help you, and they delivered results for me—my debt is now resolved and removed from my credit report, thanks to their diligent efforts. I hope that Gurstel Law Firm improves its customer service by hiring representatives who can effectively assist individuals looking to negotiate, rather than relying on intimidating tactics against those who are ready to take responsibility for their debts.
Gurstel law Firm is horrible. They are wage garnishing after 23 years after having the credit card. They NEVER let me set up payments or even contact regarding the charges. They just sent wage garnishment to my work. It wasn't sent to me. They have horrible customer service. They should not be in business
Seriously awful people. While I realize that people should do their best to meet their debt obligations, life happens. These people are making a living suing people who can’t afford to pay a debt. I became permanently disabled a few years back, and had to enter a debt consolidation program. Apparently the original creditor didn’t want to negotiate a settlement, nor did the company who subsequently bought the debt. I was shocked to receive a court summons, and tried to speak with the company who bought my debt, they referred me to Gurstel, and the people I spoke with there wouldn’t speak me unless I removed the debt from the consolidation program: they wouldn’t even give me any idea what settlement payments might look like. Like I said, I’m disabled, as well as a single mom who couldn’t even afford the filing fee for the answer to their summons, yet they want thousands on top of my original debt in court. Unconscionable, really.
If you've been wronged by this company, take action! Don't just leave a complaint—file a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office to initiate an investigation immediately. Know your rights: If they failed to serve you properly or didn't file the legally required documents to provide sufficient proof in litigation, they have no legal right to collect payment from you—period. Debt collectors are bound by strict federal and state regulations, and regulators take violations very seriously. Hold them accountable. Instead of just venting your frustration, take the next step—file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office and protect yourself.
