100% recommend this firm. They were amazing to deal with from day one. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and handled my case with so much care. They were quick to respond and very thorough. I’ve sent several friends here and will continue to do so.
I've been trying to find legal assistance for over 1 month now. I spoke with an attorney earlier today that's retiring and referred me to Tommy Tucker. I called at lunch time and they were out of the office. I got a chance to call again just before 5 and explained my need to the receptionist and she put me on hold. Mr. Tucker answered the phone to speak with me right before leaving for the day to go on vacation. He gave me advice and told me how to proceed and said if I still needed his help he'd be back next week. Just answering the phone would have been good enough for me. I wouldve given him a good review for that but this man took time to talk to me when he could've just told the receptionist to have me call back next week. I can honestly say in the 1 month I've been trying to find help I've called hundreds of law offices and only spoken with 3. 2 of the 3 actually gave me guidance while on the phone instead of the 1 other I spoke with that said it will be a $2k retainer plus any other fees associated. I understand that their knowledge, experience, and associations are worth more than that. Certainly won me over for just answering the phone, thank you Sir!
Mr. Tucker has law experience from top to bottom. The ladies running the front office are very friendly, professional and efficient. Mr. Tucker genuinely cares about your situation and can very quickly give you options pertaining to your situation.
Would not recommend! He was never responsive! He acted like the judge was against everything I thought was important.Yet, when I fired him and went on my own, I found the judge to be very fair. Although he failed to file important documents that would have allowed me to pursue a different case, I was still able to get a favorable judgement without his help. I just feel his heart is not in it anymore. It also might be he overloads his cases and can't focus enough on each case.
Contacted Mr. Tucker to get some Power of Attorney documents drawn up for my father. I asked for a few unusual, but not unheard of, details to be included in these documents (specific bank account numbers in the financial POA and joint agents for the medical POA) - after a few emails back and forth, Mr. Tucker told me he wouldn't do it and to find another lawyer. These documents require little more than someone plugging names into a template, for which you are paying several hundred dollars. I don't think it is too much to ask for some additional things to be changed for the amount of money that lawyers charge for these documents. He was slow to answer my emails, so I ended up wasting several weeks trying to get what I needed before I was determined to be too much of a hassle. Not really the attitude I was looking for when already dealing with the stress of a parent with declining mental health. I found another Bessemer lawyer who I would recommend, Keith R. Preston. He had a great attitude and got me everything I needed in a very short amount of time.
