Administration and general faculty members couldn't care less about you. They screwed up my paperwork halfway through my 10th grade year which made me have to shuttle from the high school to the FLC everyday making me late for both classes and getting in trouble everytime I was late after they realized their mistake they made another one and somehow changed the school level assigned to me and tried to send me back to middle school. All the while I was bullied by a group of students who threw things at me and actually physically hurt me, when I went to my guidance counselor about it they told me I should be put on anxiety meds so I could "handle it better". Bottom line is they don't care about students and can't be bothered to keep simple paperwork in order.

I moved from New England to Vero Beach in 2013, as a student there I was left behind, put in classes that I was not taking, not offered help, bullied, and then ignored by Administrators when I spoke out about it. They do not offer extra help to students having trouble. I failed my school year because of this. I was in Integrated Science up North. When I arrived at Vero Beach High they put me in MARINE BIOLOGY HALFWAY thru the school year and then offered no after-school help to me catch up with the class. They refused to contact my old teachers when I requested them to so my old teachers can explain my problems with my dyslexia. The teachers (that I had) made it very obvious they had no interest in helping us, just interested in their paycheck. Their rules against bullying are a joke and so are the teachers I encountered. An older male teacher made a vulgar comment about my "rear-end", when I told Administrators I was told, "We cannot do anything because you do not know the teacher's name". WHAT ABOUT CAMERAS? VBHS is not a place for new students.

Terrible school. Stupidity reigns supreme among the students, teachers, faculty, administrators, etc. I could have had the same experience if I had been locked up with a bunch of chimps at a zoo for 4 years. Should I ever have kids, I will homeschool them. VBHS is toxic.

Recently, completely remodeled with a new indoor gym, and new life to outdoor sporting facilities. Massive student parking areas and a great place to either watch a track meet, or a local baseball game. With the local police providing security, There is never a shortage of fans. Not to mention all the nearby shops and dining. Close to historic downtown, and only 5 miles from Indian River Mall.

Love this school. Nice teacher. Just being nice in class and you will be fine.
