Jerry D Sharp PLLC

I recently had the misfortune of having dealings with this attorney and he and his staff are totally incompetent. I live in Florida and Mr. Sharp handled a transaction concerning a house I sold in Laurel five years ago. Without going into personal details, and to make this short, he alleged that my grandfather was the father of someone and it was totally untrue. When I tried to tell his paralegal that he was wrong, she wouldn’t listen to me. I called three times and asked that Mr. Sharp return my call to straighten this out and I never got a call. He disparaged my family and I don’t appreciate it.

Mr. Sharp came highly recommended, so my husband and I met with and hired him to help us draw up a contract for a real estate transaction. After agreeing to send us a contract the following Monday, we never heard from him again, despite us sending multiple emails to him and calling his office. I believe Mr. Sharp is probably a great lawyer for the cases he decides to take (since he stays so busy) but if he did not want to take on our case, he should have told us WEEKS ago. I would have respected that if he'd just told us he didn't want the case so we could move on. To agree to take the job and then drop off the face of the earth and ignore all emails and calls is so unprofessional and disappointing.

Mr. "Sharp" here gets one star, wish I could make it zero. It does have something to do with the fact that he was the attorney fighting for the plaintiff to have custody of my two girls. In court Jan. 2021, I personally gave him my address, so that i knew for sure I would receive my paperwork on the TWO HOURS A MONTH the judge had granted the father and I. We both were also told that we would have to pay the plaintiff child support for own children! MR. SHARP I understand had to do everything he had to that day to help them win that case. He was cutting off myself and the father as we tried to speak on the stand, very VERY repetitive with his questions and thought that jumbling the words around would confuse the father. Not professional. I still have not seen my girls nor have I gotten paperwork in the mail. I have called the office left messages, even spoke with his paralegal, emailed him, and I have yet to get a response........ It's been over a yr since I have seen my girls and I miss them so much it hurts! What is really going on?!

Jerry is a thorough lawyer. He knows how to analyze the case and make appropriate decisions. He is friendly and gets right to the point. I also appreciate his dedication to his faith. He never seemed to compromise his principals just to win the case. I also liked working with his staff. They are very knowledgeable and do a great job.

My first meeting with him was great. The environment was comfortable and he was patient with me. He even suggested that I lean on my faith for guidance about certain decisions. He was down to earth, but very professional.
