I had to call the Clerk's office for this court today over a question on a case - I work as a paralegal. I had to call twice and deal with one person who didn't know anything and two people who were rude. It took 34 minutes of my time to get an answer to an easy question because the court clerk staff don't take the time to understand what you ask and then offer vague and useless responses. They are trained to say they can't give legal advice when you aren't actually asking for it. I don't mind ignorance, but the rudeness isn't necessary. This is a consistent finding with NY courts.

Cannot get a divorce. All the attorneys and officials know each other and perpetuate a one sided unanimous decision. One party in a divorce gets hanged up on using a collective decision including the personal lawyer in the areas. Don’t use any lawyers in that area or mediators. They are all friends. They party together. They threaten client and force them to pay high amounts of lawyer fees.

Friday July 9th 2024 I was trying uptiain surrogate info over my farthers info that had lost the paper work that I filled on June 5th Tom the clerk was very rude and unprofessional in my time of need didn't even say sorry for your lost being that my farther was my last parent he needs to FIRED ASAP !!!!!

One star for the old woman who works in room 186 who was extremely rude to me today and called me “ignorant” for not being an attorney and knowing the law to a T. You know exactly who you are. Not my fault the clerk tells me one thing and your office another. Not that this rating even matters. But still. Horrendous behavior from a taxpayer funded office.

Locked a man up for the rest of the life on jury duty here. No regrets, gotta keep the streets safe. God Bless America ???????? Side note: vending machines don’t take Sacagawea $1 coins, so come prepared!
