Reviews

Kirksey is a good man, even if his firm wasn't able to do everything they claimed. Missouri was Rigged with SB43-2017 by our fraudulent ex governor Eric Greitens. You're employer can fire you for ANYTHING unless they admit wrong doing (they won't) since we don't get to video tape or record them while they harass and lie to us like Slaves in a Cotton Field, keeping workers rights attacked and lawyers bound from fulfilling their Constitutional jobs to protect workers rights.
I am leaving this review with a heavy heart. I used Jay Kirksey for a case back in 98 when he was a young and upcoming attorney. He was the perfect example of what an attorney should be, he really fought for me and we had a good outcome. I am currently using his firm for a workman’s comp case ( Not Jay personally) I feel like the assigned attorney doesn’t care about my case and I feel like if he would actually look into the things I have told him, it would be a much better outcome. I can never get his assistant to email me back. Even after calling and asking them to please give her a message to check for my emails. I am so Disappointed in the service I have received and even more disheartened that Jay would allow his firm to be ran this way. It’s very sad to say, but I will not go to this firm in the future.
My experience working with Kevin and Kristina was great. I had an issue that was most likely going to be decided in my favor but sought out a lawyer since laws can be tricky, and an unfavorable outcome would have impacted my career. Kevin helped put my mind at ease while waiting for the court date, and Kristina was easy to work with as I sent in evidence. My case was dismissed with prejudice prior to even setting foot in the courtroom, and Kevin gave me great advice on next steps I should or could take. If I'm ever hemmed up legally again they will be my first call.
Don’t waste your time. They are not proactive at all and when you attempt to push them to do their job you end up doing the work for them at which point they critique your work. I had a simple request to send a demand letter to a mechanic that was holding my mothers vehicle without repair for months, a request to fix the vehicle or return the vehicle. I ended up writing the demand letter for them as it had been a few weeks since this law firm took the project. This firm subsequently took out any and all substantive wording such as “must return by Xxx date” or “subject up to and including law suit” language as this firm was unwilling to put their name on anything. They stated they did not represent me, I could either send the letter I wrote with their changes (which was simply a letter by this point), retain them for thousands more or accept a refund. As this had been going on for weeks I ended up having them just send the letter with no meat to the bone and of course received no response from the mechanic as their were no consequences contained within that letter. I then asked an attorney friend of mine from another state to handle this matter which he did and within one day had the vehicle returned. Go with your gut, trustworthy referrals or folks you know instead of this firm.
Jay Kirskey was not a good hire for me. He did not want to do any work, and had hardly gotten himself involved in knowing my case. I hired him to represent me with issues I had been facing at work, but when the time came to have to actually represent me, and do some work, he was nowhere to be found. I did everything myself. Thankfully, I was quick to realize that he was a complete sham, or else I would be out even more of a considerable amount of money than I already am, and especially when taking into consideration that he literally did nothing. Based on my experience with Kirksey, he is a complete and utter waste of time and money. Do not make the same mistake I did in hiring this incompetent attorney. He was hired because he claimed he could represent me with my case, but then admitted later that his expertise was incredibly limited. He completely misrepresented his abilities to get hired, and at a time when I was most desperate and actually needing help. He completely overcharged me for the hours that he claimed he worked. I am uncertain how he is able to sleep at night knowing that he misrepresents his legal expertise in order to be hired by people who are in dire need, and who have limited funds. I feel like I was robbed. I am truly disgusted by his business practices. I question how many of Kirskey’s 5 star reviews are actually legitimate. He seems like the kind of person who’d inflate his rating.
