I had got in a car accident in a rental car from Enterprise Rental Company. So the next day I had went to the Crosby Lawfirm and had spoken with Mr. Crosby himself (that's who does the intake for the cases at the Crosby Lawfirm). While there my car insurance company (Esurance) had called as well. And I had advised them that I'm retaining the Crosby Lawfirm. Of which was unnecessary. But because of Mr. Crosby telling me that I could loose my drivers license (something another two lawyers at his same Lawfirm said was not the case). I had went on and did. Making the situation worse. I was assigned Mr. D. Steeves. Who did not even bother to make contact with the adjuster from my car insurance company, or Enterprise Rental Company. Stating that, "we'll wait for them to call us first." Of which made the situation worse. Because they went off of the police report. And out right ignored me. Taking my retaining a lawfirm as a empty threat. Being Mr. Steeves only made 2 half a$$ed attempts in order for me to make a statement. So after a while I had emailed my own statement to the adjuster. Because Mr. Steeves mad no attempt to work with me or mitigate the situation (OF WHICH WHAT I RETAINED HIM FOR). Ask him and his paralegal to forward you all their "work product." And my emails. It'll show me trying to get Mr. Steeves to make contact with Esurance and Enterprise Rental Company. I need my 2,100.00 dollars back as soon as possible. He didn't do anything. And I still was blamed for the car accident (I'm still dealing with it. They want me to pay Enterprise an 1,000.00 deductible. But I'm not because they never offered the additional insurance [ I would have taken it if they would have offered it ] and the rental car they gave me had the wrong plates on it. Demonstrating they didn't even look over the rental before I had taken it). Issue 2 A Total Loss Claim. I'm not even going to go in the details with that. But Mr. Steeves is a joke of an attorney. And I'm a fool. I dealt with that whole situation MYSELF. And my emails show it. So if the Crosby Lawfirm or Mr. D. Steeves tries to bill ARAG Legal. No- I took care of the claim. And got the balance down to 3000.00 dollars. With me making 100.00 a month payments. Lastly. I didn't sign any retainer agreements. And the papers I do have from them about an agreement are blank. Either way ask Mr. Steeves to display contact to the other parties involved. Because he can't. I am not satisfied. And I need my money back to help me fix what the Crosby Lawfirm was supposed to fix. Thank you for your help and time. They've also handled a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy for me before in the past. Of which another attorney did a great job on. And; handled a traffic violation that was also handled perfectly. But not on the two issues listed in this review. Sincerely: Christopher Toney

Called my Lawyer Dave about 4 times and left messages for him with the secretary and never got back to me and had to go through things by myself and it was very troubling. I would never ever recommend this law firm to anyone. I paid them 3,000 dollars and only saw him once and never again. Left me out to dry.

Crosby Law firm handled my mother's estate. Very professional and made it easy to understand everything along the way.

Came in wanting for them to call unemployment to help get it to me, since it was in Wisconsin all they could do was "call and email them and we can't take them to court because we are in IL, not licensed in Wisconsin " and they asked me for $2500, i said the reason i was here was because i was broke, immediately asked if i had a credit card and told me i could use that, thats just sad. Told me i would fail on my own repeatedly. I called them back my self and demanded an appointment with the supervisor or adjudicator. My payment from unemployment was in my account before my appointment 10 days later.

They are very informative and courteous.
