I decided to file for divorce in October of 2014 and retained Mr. Macek for $3000. My divorce should have been a pretty quick and clean process especially since I was pretty much offering my ex wife just about everything. Mr. Macek spent more time trying to tell me to give my ex more than I was already offering even to go as far as to tell me I should continue to carry her on my health insurance. My wife makes almost twice as much money as I do and wanted our house in Medway that had over 40 thousand dollars equity in it while I was taking our house in Mendon which is under water at least 20 thousand. I never once felt as though Mr. Macek was ever fighting for me and instead I felt as though he was looking to take my money and run. Never once did I get any sort of break down of what my money was being used for or even how much, instead when I wouldn't agree to give her more than what I offered his response to me was you're all out of money. I fired Ted and retained a new lawyer who not only gave me a break down of every dime spent and on what it was spent, she got me money and my house and materials items back from my ex. I strongly suggest do not use Mr. Macek or if you do request a break down of everything your money is being spent on.
