This is a much long overdue review. I hired Cassidy Pearson, when my ex-boyfriend filed common law marriage on me out of the blue. My case should have been a slam dunk, considering we never filed taxes together, never had joint bank accounts, never held property together, never held ourselves out to others as married, so long story short yes we were solely boyfriend-girlfriend. After Cassidy also assured me that this would be an easy win, she took me down the complete wrong path where we filed many things including a no motion summary judgment and declaratory judgment hearing. After losing the declaratory judgment, I consulted with other lawyers and to my knowledge found out Cassidy handled the entire case wrong from the very start. None of this was ever needed and many of them said “that was a complete waste of your money and time”. More and more lawyers were consulted after and they all told me the same thing - that from the very beginning this was legally mishandled and she wasted my time/money and put me in an even worse situation from losing the declaratory hearing. When I lost the declaratory hearing, Cassidy also told me, “you only have to split assets from the last three years from the date which he is claiming you were married”. How could I have been okay with that considering I was never married to the man and he was solely harassing me legally and emotionally during the course of about a year?? She also never apologized for losing my case, and also never really seem affected by it at all considering I was emotional wreck after the case went down. Lastly, I feel like she did not present the correct evidence in the timeframe that they allowed when we got there, and Cassidy utilized our time poorly when I was up on stand when lawyers should be able to adjust when given shorter timeframes. This has been a super stressful process and I’m now almost 2 years into this and still fighting my ex BOYFRIEND because of the wrongful legal actions Cassidy took. Her firm was also extremely hard to get a hold of, this included the front desk, her paralegals, and Cassidy herself. I am so so disappointed with how this turned out. My easy winnable case that should have taken a few months turned into years worth of fighting with my ex-boyfriend. I would not recommend her.

Called for a consultation. This guy charges $600 an hr just to talk to you. He would not even say hello without taking a $600 Payment. Rediculous!
