If you need a disability attorney I would advise checking elsewhere. His assistant screens all new clients and does Not know the difference between SSI and Social Security Disability. SSI or Supplemental Security Income is a completely separate needs based program from Social Security Disability. I am assuming she is the one who screened this instead of the attorney himself. Regardless ,it is worrisome that he would delegate this to a non-qualified assistant. You probably need to go with a larger law firm with younger, hungrier attorneys.
