Reviews

We were an out of state client of Ms. Siegler's. Our initial experience with Ms. Siegler was good - she got done what we needed regarding the first few court appearances. However we were told that should a certain situation arise she would pursue (and she stated confidently that she would win) a petition for fees from the other party. This did come up and she did file the petition however the petition was denied. This was our final dealing with Ms. Siegler, over 1 1/2 years ago, and we have yet to receive an explanation or even a response to our request for an explanation as to why the petition for fees was denied. We our now facing being back in court in a different state with the same party and have again asked Ms. Siegler for an explanation so that we can fully brief our new attorney. Still no response from her. Obviously this is very frustrating in an already frustrating situation. I am writing this review in the hopes that Ms. Siegler will see it and hopefully contact us to explain what took place and give us any information necessary as we are now actively involved in new court proceedings with the same party.

Jennifer Siegler: This is not the divorce lawyer for you. Mrs. Siegler did me a disservice. She missed dates of discovery and witness disclosure for the court. She did not push for my cause, sat back and drained my retainer without earning it. After a year I caught on and fired her. This is the most disorganized lawyer in the McHenry county court house. Another example; instead of my case file ( like most other lawyers) she brings a red calendar book with names of her client and a brief description. She is late every morning which causes a problem with the other attorneys that have to wait patiently for her. 45minutes waiting for another "supposed responsible" individual would taint any negotiations. Seeing the disheveled faces of her current cliental outside the court room has led me to write this review. I sympathize with them. Not knowing if I was being represented properly weighed on my mind constantly. If I had done a little research ahead of time and not relied on Ed Donahue's referral I would not be "behind the gun" in my timeline with the court. I started to ask questions of her and that's when she would no longer contact me. She then brought forward a motion to withdrawal from the case. I did contact Mrs. Siegler in hopes she would make this right to no avail. I have since called Ed and asked him to review his using her name as a referral. I have also contacted the ARDC with a formal complaint but expect just like others before me. There will be no action taken.

She kept delaying my court case until the retainer ran out. Useless and waste of money
