If you are ordered to use this office for your custody case as a GAL, pray and get both you and your children a therapist- ASAP! Tom Kenny failed my child after multiple year long “investigations” at the time of trial Tom Kenny could NOT recall any of what my son or his therapist told him during four years of investigation. Tom Kenny would only “investigate” minutes prior to trial or status updates leaving no time for communication between him and valuable resources in the child’s life: teachers, therapist and doctors. He couldn’t even read his own notes prior to trial to update himself on the case before hand. A smack in the face?? He refuse to show up for the second day of trial ???????? This case has been before judges every thirty days for 13 years and Tom Kenny now recommends we change pick up location for a teenager to a police station while the dad and his current wife continue to come by the mother and child’s place of residence. This case has held GALs over the years, 604b and even child advocates and NOT one agreed with any of this nonsense. He has no understanding of coercive control, narcissistic behavior or mental health issues. My son feels failed and scared, I am still harassed and stalked.

Michael Kenny was the court appointed GAL. My opinion is that his recommendation to the court was deeply unfair and that if you are male and the court appoints him in your case, you will save a lot of time and money by just accepting her demands rather than working with him.
