It bothers me to see bad reviews about Mr. Baskette.. He completed two adoptions for me from start to finish years ago. Everything was timely and accurate. He was very reasonable and always answered any questions. Over the years, as being a military family moving away, I have still called on him with questions and he has always assisted me. He worked on another adoption and name change process and was right on target with everything then as welI. Recently since moving back to Texas, he is now assisting us again with another family matter for a very reasonable cost and is always available to answer questions and never makes you feel rushed. I think the bad reviews are simply because you can't please everyone.

Worst experience ever. Was to worried about being in good standing with his old place of practice and catching up with old co-workers that he didn't fight for what I had wanted. Knew I was going to be arrested the night before my court date but wouldn't tell me, so I walked in to court and was put in cuffs. Also wouldn't let me discuss with my family what was being offered to me. On top of i was diagnosed a year later with serious medical issues that had affected the decision made by D.A and the judge.

I see some bad reviews here but honestly I owe this man many many thanks. He got me out of a horrible marriage and always answered my questions and at one point even lifted my spirits when my ex threatened to make it impossible to get a divorce. Thank You VERY Much Mr. Baskette for giving me back my freedom !

My experience is based on his services from years ago.

Similar to most reviews on here, as soon as you pay the 'service' was horrible. He does not have a legal assistant, so you have to rely soley on when he wants to work your case. He would not follow up w/the other lawyer even after I was literally giving him the email address, phone number, etc. After I got my paperwork finalized with the Attorney General, he came back weeks later to ask for a copy for his records. Do not recommend!
