I have attempted to contact my lawyer on multiples occasions and I always get told I’ll receive a call back and never do. I’ve paid upfront the total amount for the services requested and it’s been 4 months with no word from the law firm. I am highly disappointed and would not recommend them.

Took my retainer and sat on his hands for months, then stonewalled. Total lack of empathy. I fired him (got retainer back). If you need someone who gets the job done look elsewhere. UPDATE: I submitted my qdro docs on my own (1 hr) and it got signed within 5 days. Meanwhile I also realized a few years back he was an atty to a company I brought to small claims pro se. They settled. Big picture: do it yourself, you'll do better than him.

Amanda P's review kinda nailed this guy. But let me add a little... If you want a lawyer who rarely if ever responds to your emails and phone calls, who gets ABSOLUTELY NOTHING DONE on your divorce for 8 weeks, and still charges you for phone calls where you repeat the same information you already paid him to listen to and learn, then Christopher Smith is your man! Caveat emptor. Maybe he's good for some. But he was a complete zero for me. One star is super generous. I wouldn't bother to ask this man the time of day... it would cost me too much and take too long.

At first, Christopher J. Smith appeared as a well-prepared, thorough professional. I was particularly struck (although on a mere phone conversation basis) by his CAPABILITY TO EMPATHIZE. But then, along the way, MANY PROBLEMS took place. I don't want to enter any detail, because I don't like to publicly talk 'bad' about anybody. Suffice it to say I WASN'T HAPPY WITH HIM FOR MY DIVORCE CASE, so much so I was forced to quit my Professional Relationship with him when I would have needed him the most. NOT A PLEASANT SITUATION TO BE IN, that's for sure.

He's very good and thorough with his questions and puts you at ease. Instructs you with what you need to get to get done before court date and has reasonable prices considering what you get in return. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.
