Hired Dan Allen a year ago March 8, 2024 to take are of my moms simple probate on her home. Paid his 2500$ flat fee. After 8 months I started bugging them. They had NOT done anything. Sent me paperwork in October 24 that was a mess misspelled names etc. Was suppose to fix and resend. Never did. Let the holidays go by hoping to hear from them. Nope still not a word. January tried calling multiple times a day no answer. Emails no response. I don’t live in AK anymore but had a friend go by his office. Nobody there !!!!! He seemed to disappear. Called AK bar association, they checked showing he was still active. Anyone know where he went ????? I’m filing papers for petition for arbitration for fee dispute ASAP. Oh last week his number is now disconnected!!!!!!

My ex fiance and I hired Mr. Allan n September of 2022 for each of ours divorce. We didn't have anything shared except names, both me and my x fiance. It took him 2 years and 2 months to even get a court date. And in January of 2023 his divorce was finalized. Me on the other hand have told them multiple times where my spouse is and 'still can't find him'. I know of 3 times 2024 I found him in the same jail waiting g to go to prison. Everytime we would call to check on our case he'd say I'll have to look at that and call u back tomorrow. We'll tomorrow never came and still waiting on those phone calls. He even told my a couple weeks ago that he no longer is studying law. So that $3,000 i sent for both our divorces, half of That down the drain.

Dan helped me with getting custody established. Dan was reasonable with the retainer and made himself available for calls. The staff was friendly and accessible even on short notice. During the long drawn out price with the court system, Dan and his staff kept me updated. Dan and the staff are patient and do not make you feel rushed when on the phone or when meeting in person. During a court hearing, the opposing counsel did some questionable actions during a hearing and attempted to mislead the court. Dan defended my position and hit them with the facts. The Judge even admonished the opposing counsel and issued a civil fine payable to Dan’s office to replace money spent against my retainer. Thank you for the help.
