We were recommended to her by someone. She is basic and just works superficially. I don't know if most attorneys in this field are like this and are limited by the law to only do so much for a client but I've seen some attorneys who really go above and beyond. She wasn't one of them! She had us initially file a Chapter 13, and we were making payments for a year, and then switched us over to a 7. She did this so casually, like it was a routine thing (which I'm sure it is.) It seems this is what she does to all her clients and that's how she makes her money without really doing any work or thinking about the clients financial needs. I wanted to add attorney fees from the law firm Stark and Stark which are ginormous! And she said she couldn't do that because she didn't want to "challenge a big corporation like them because it would be complicated." I thought, "Lady isn't this why we are paying you almost $5,000??!" So not only did we struggle financially due to a business venture that got us into bankruptcy in the first place, but she also didn't care that we were struggling financially to pay her for her mediocre service! Anyways not a fan because she just treats you like "I've done my job and that's it, I'm done!" After her apparent "completion of her work" or after the bankruptcy is fully discharged she or her secretary doesn't respond. She is the face of how real attorneys work for just money and not the client! Because she reels you in the beginning like she cares and acts concerned until she has you as a client, but then really sells you on trying to switch to different types of bankruptcy options. She ended up doing the same to my parents! Research other attorneys before you go this route, make sure they are willing to include everything into a bankruptcy along with their fees so that your not wasting time and money!!
