This closing was the most unprofessional interaction I have had in 38 years of building. I called to try to straighten out an issue and after yelling at me for 2 minutes the attorney’s wife hung up on me. I called back and asked if I could speak with someone else and she proceeded to yell at me again and when I said “I’m speechless” she yelled some more (at the top of her lungs) and then hung up again. Finally got Mr Coleman on the phone and he was almost as unprofessional. I’m not sure where our Client found this Attorney but I have no idea how they stay in business with this sort of unprofessional behavior. I advise anyone who is considering using them to find an Attorney who knows how to handle business in a professional manner.
I have been working with Mr. Coleman over several years. Based on my experience and expectations, I can say Mr. Coleman has the highest approval rating when I compare him to many other attorneys I’ve had experience with. He takes his time in listening to my concerns and questions to provide me the honest feedback. No matter if it’s not the answer I wanted. His ability to take time to explain the law to me in many different ways so I can make my decision is among the best! Mr. Coleman has become one attorney I can place my highest trust in. Forever grateful, B. Carter
When I first met Dan Coleman I thought he was too nice to be a lawyer.. but I'm hired him for so many different things over the years real estate traffic tuckets legal Money Matters, but I've come to understand that he will be on my side. ...When I bought the house the realtor didn't like him because he stuck up for me, and actually delayed the closing until fundamental things were repaired.. it seemed the people downtown seem to know and like them because he seems to be successful and everything ihire him for. He has always build me less than other lawyers had ... I heard he helped a person in need at the courthouse for free. I have never had a problem communicating with Dan even if I don't like what he tells me I know it's the truth... That's why I hire him to do his job. It is a honest and decent lawyer... hard to find
I wouldn't recommend using this firm as a closing attorney for your home, especially for first time home buyers. They threatened to cancel our closing one day before because there was back and forth from the builder/lender on property taxes owed due to this being new construction. They also didn't communicate to us until the day of closing that a 2pm close would result in us not getting the keys the same day. They were able to move it up after much begging, but this would've just been nice to know right of the bat. Furthermore, the communication after closing regarding builder surveys and warranties were not explained to us (we were just tossed a manila folder during closing) and so we didn't get the builder survey or warranty paperwork in on time. I also felt that both Dan and Helen were very condescending towards both me and my boyfriend as well as our lender. As first time home buyers, you don't want to be panicked one day before that closing may be cancelled and you don't want to be snapped at for asking a question or not understanding something the first time it's explained.
I had phoned Mr. Coleman for a 15-minute consult, and didn't know what to expect, but he gave me more time, advice and direction than I know my legal plan was paying for. When I am ready to move forward with my situation, Mr. Coleman is definitely the one that I will let handle my legal matters.
