Dan and his team at Consumer Law Group have provided the most stellar service I’ve experienced to date. They are extremely thorough in their approach to law and building cases; leaving no details out. The most important factor is that they are people centric. Although, the client to attorney relationship is handled in a professional way as business should be, I was treated like an individual, not just another case. Attended to with care and my feelings considered every step of the way. So very appreciative I found them when I did!

Dan Blinn has been a life saver. He and his team has given me free advice that has helped to make the best decisions for my situation. Which in return, saved me tons of money by not having to take anything to court. I would recommend them 100 times over. They were also very friendly! Appreciate all the hard work they do to help people.

Consumer law group…#1 rated on google search engine for the Connecticut area (with 20 plus years of experience, and a team of dedicated lawyers to accommodate consumer law in Connecticut). Was treated like a 2nd class citizen in the end. Initially was told (on Skype consultation) I had a very strong case against Ford Auto Corp and was encouraged to personally deal with Ford myself but also on the same note was told they’d absolutely be there for me to pursue legal action if I was stonewalled by Ford corporate . After months of getting the runaround from Ford I decided to take legal action (with consumer law group from rockyhill, ct) against Ford because of the said law group’s confidence that it was a sure win case and that they’d be accommodating to my legal needs. And now months later after our initial consultation and now wanting to take legal action against Ford I was told that they’re to small of an outfit to pursue the case..?(to end this ongoing nightmare that I’ve been trying to resolve relentlessly with Ford) This law group had no problem taking my money for a Skype meeting and continually saying and assuring throughout the meeting that they’d be there for me if legal action had to be pursued. So now I sit here many months later with no support from this law office mind you without missing a payment on my note for the vehicle or the full coverage insurance while I haven’t been able to drive my vehicle for over 6 months. I’m very upset with Ford and this law firm.

Read the Better Business Bureau complaints against the CLG (Consumer Law Group). One complainant stated that this group maintains its high rating with the BBB by always responding to complaints. When the CLG does respond to BBB complaints (or poor reviews) I read over and over again that the CLG is being confused with another group with a similar name, and that the CLG couldn’t be the same group soliciting the public with scripted messages about debt relief because the CLG only offers services to mostly Spanish-speaking clients and those services are unrelated to debt settlement (just criminal, family and immigration law). Yet google lists a wider variety of services provided by the CLG, including many debt-related services. Also, I read a google review by a Spanish-speaking immigrant, who used a translator app/program to post a google review, basically saying that the CLG wanted to take his money without helping him. Does that sound like an ethical law group dedicated to helping immigrants who have no money or resources? I have not initiated contact with the CLG or paid the CLG any money for a consultation or for a legal service retainer. I am only reviewing the CLG because, like so many others, I have received several scripted solicitation voice mails from the CLG. When I block a phone number used by this group, this group just calls back the next week using a new phone number. Alternatively, my phone is fooled by the appearance of a new number due to a phone number spoofing app/program. So, here’s something to think about. Some reviewers, who say they paid money to the CLG, claim that they were basically scammed. If an ethical CLG (Consumer Law Group) is really being unjustly confused with an unethical CLG (Consumer Legal Group), then how does one explain the bad reviews of people who stated this group first accepted money for a consultation, then said “You have a strong case and we can help you!” only to later refuse help? Bad experiences like these suggest a legal group that siphons money out of debtors from permissible consultations while blaming any misconduct on a legal doppelgänger, that is, blaming a legal “look-alike.” I’ve never heard of a “red herring” defense to bad reviews…till now. What about all of the 5-star ratings and flattering reviews essentially stating “Thank you so much, attorney so-and-so [name omitted]. You are so awesome! I recommend you to everyone!”? Do all those reviews sound very similar to each other? Scripted perhaps?Do those reviews sound like real customers who are just really, really excited about paying the going rate for lawyers? Does the CLG get a lot of clients off the hook for capital murder charges? Here’s something else to think about, generally speaking, of course. I’m not giving legal advise. The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) warns the public that people pretending to be happy customers do post “fake reviews” in effort to drum-up company profits, knowing that potential future customers rely upon the experiences of past customers. The FTC warns that fake reviewers include company managers, partners, employees, associates, paid marketers and even relatives and friends. Further, the FTC warns that fake reviews are offenses that the FTC investigates and prosecutes. Also, according to the FTC, it costs a person nothing to contact the FTC and trigger a FTC investigation that could possibly turn into a FTC prosecution. Just saying … Similarly, it also costs a person nothing to contact your state’s local bar association, which investigates allegations of attorney misconduct. Without giving any legal advise, you can google and read the online ABA (American Bar Association) Code of Ethics for attorneys or read your local bar association’s code of ethics. In deciding which lawyer you decide to hire, you are always free to pick ethical lawyers who, among other things, refrain from: soliciting new clients (Rule 7.3); dishonesty, misrepresentation, deceit or fraud (Rule 8.4); paying for a legal service recommendation (Rule 7.2). Just saying …

Attorney Blinn, you and your firm have been extremely helpful, attentive, kind, and prompt throughout the entire process. It has given me ease of mind as well as relief in knowing my claim was in the hands of an extremely qualified and professional law firm. I’d highly recommend your law firm, and know exactly who I can count on with any of my future legal matters of this nature.
