Katherine was absolutely amazing. Professional, honest and fair. She helped me through the worst time of my life and helped to make it as stress free as possible. She is kind and caring and I would, and have recommended her to everyone.

I’d like to preface this review by stating I’ve only had the experience of seeing one of these attorneys, a short, stocky woman by the name of Tanya Mir, in action. During this time, she represented my ex in court. While waiting many hours to speak to the judge, Tanya displayed herself in an almost comical way. She made sure to get extra friendly with the powers-to-be, literally touching these people on the arms as they were speaking and transparently laughing off conversations in a rather maniacal way. This “professional” also got extremely loud with my attorney on more than one occasions in the lobby; at the time, I was so proud of my attorney for maintaining her composure because what are we, 12? At the end of the day, I can’t see any self-respecting person choosing Tanya Mir to represent them on any scale, nevertheless one so important as child custody.

DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!!! I used Jennifer Schenker as my attorney and she didn’t show up to most of my court dates and when she did was unprepared with NO defense! Completely incompetent! Didn’t bother to gather ANY information. There were multiple witnesses and she never got statements from them. She NEVER disputed any of the allegations against me or provided a defense. They completely forgot to get signed an important document which I paid for and in turn it came to bite me later because they never got it signed!!!!!!! When Ms. Schenker didn’t show up She Instead sent in inexperienced associate Tanya Mir in her place which did an even worse service but they charged me all the same. After multiple times I told Ms. Schenker that I did not want Tanya on my case, that I felt she was not good. When I tried to bring it up to Mr. Alvarado’s attention, seeking help on the matter, he was demeaning, yelled at me and was extremely disrespectful, aggressive and hung up the phone on me. This is the only time I’ve ever had to use a lawyer and this is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had and the number one reason I don’t trust lawyers.
