Rosemary Ferrino is my dad’s attorney and she has only met with him two times in a year. Although we have attempted to schedule several scheduled meetings to discuss things, they fall by the waste side. She has never advocated or translated things my dad has told her back to the judge. So we are in this ongoing legal battle on trying to obtain the guardianship back. My dad is a Jamaican immigrant and is not used to different legal terms and this whole process. My brother had power of attorney over my dad, in which was ruled to be invalid which surprises me because they decided to uphold the will that was done at the same time. If you are a minority, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this practice.
Becky and I want to pass along to you, Eric, and your staff a heartfelt “thank you.” You made a difficult process endurable. From the initial consultation, you helped ease our anxiety, direct our course, and take actions in our best interest. I don’t think I’ve met a more stable person than Eric. He never showed any sign of distress. He was cool as summer rain. His calm made me calm. Most important, he knew what to do! Your staff, Teri in particular, was spot on with all tasks. I think every question I asked was answered in a timely fashion. Everyone treated Becky and I with respect and dignity. In the Gaelic, there is a toast, which means “to your health.” We say to you, Slàinte!”
Rosemary is an exceptional lawyer and person. She has helped our family understand Elder Law in PA. She was a help when my mother was alive, referred us to other lawyers in Florida and worked with us to settle her estate. The paperwork is unbelievable and Rosemary was a huge help.
Do not trust this firm. I was power of attorney for an elder parent. I came to the Ferrino Law Offices with an intractable family issue of a sibling controlling my elder parent, isolating the elder and blocking communication and access even hiding injuries to the elder. Ferrino Law took $2500 and did a change to the elder’s power of attorney papers to remove me (which shouldn’t cost $2500). The change fully empowered the behavior of the controlling sibling and completely barred any communication and access to the elder for myself and my family. Instead of pursuing the question of the sibling Mary Poddlegar and Rose Ferrino took the easiest route and most profitable route at the expense of a family. Imagine not being able to see or speak with your elder parent. I complained to them and they were completely dismissive. Again, beware of this firm.
I had a complicated estate to settle when my mother passed away. I worked with Eric Ladley, Esq., CELA at this firm. From the first meeting, Eric was understanding and patient with the unfortunate situation. Eric was responsive and professional with all of the problems that needed to be resolved. I highly recommend Eric Ladley, Esq. and the staff at Montco Elder Law.
