The buyers picked this firm for our closing and I was floored by the lack of professional behavior on the part of the attorney, Phil. My agent and I were segregated at our request as the firm does not require masks yet Phil walked right in and sat at the table without having the courtesy to don one. Everyone was under 65 except for myself and my attorney so it would have been courteous for him to don a mask out of respect for us. He asked my agent, "Who are you?" (just like that) and then a little later asked him again who he was. Most lawyers will check the names of the clients/persons they are working with before walking into the room. Then when we were finished signing the paperwork he came back in, plopped some chocolate down on the table, said "here's some chocolate for you" and immediately walked back out. Lastly, they did not have my bank information to wire me the money. Was someone not supposed to check on that before the closing? I have dealt with many lawyers through my 64 years and I have never seen such unprofessional behavior exhibited by any lawyer before. I certainly hope I never am put in a position of having to deal with them again and I recommend you do the same.

I was doing an out of state closing and did not receive the documents to sign, notarize, and send back until 1:00pm the day before the closing. My realtor had emailed the previous week asking when I could expect the documents and nobody ever responded. Then the closing was to be at 10:00am with funds to be wired to me. The closing was changed to 3:00pm without even notifying me and funds not wired today.
