Charlie is a very solid, professional, fair, attorney. He listens to your side and gives you his un-biased opinion in return. He has very, very solid relations with many people in the courts spreading Morris and Sussex county’s. ( personal experience ) I would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.
My husband had Charles O'Connell for a public defender and he was amazing he never charged him for the year and a half court appearances and he was extremely helpful. Told us both some stuff about how cops have the microphone on their uniform has to be on at all times he got all the so called evidence the crooked state troopers had thrown out of court he is just amazing and he is down to earth. It was a bogus DUI case and he saw right away my husband was innocent and the state troopers never showed up for court even though the prosecutor, Charles, and the judge himself called the state troopers, no call backs or anything after the evidence was thrown out. He was really amazing
Charlie, is a crook. I was former client of his. He blocked my number that goes into voice mail during business hours.Keeps sending a bogus bill and won't return my calls. Real professional. Doesn't have a email except a employees personal email address. Don't count on him returning calls either.
Charlie O'Connell managed the sale of my deceased father's home in 2017. Communication was a constant battle and an on-going blame-game between his office and those of the realtors involved. There were two very important times that I needed to speak to him directly (once when the buyers were digging up my father's front yard) and I NEVER once heard back from him on that -- like it never happened. I was left high and dry for MANY of my dealings with him and his office. The most infuriating and sub-professional of all was his lack of enforcing the written contracts that BOTH I, the seller, and the buyer were to adhere to. The potential buyer was REPEATEDLY sneaking onto the property (once actually draining the pool to a dangerous/deadly level) and into the house (using OUR equipment -- fans, electricity, and even my father's huge de-humidifyer that had NEVER EVEN BEEN OPENED -- he opened, took down to the basement and had on for days). I -- the paying customer of O'Connell and his paralegal -- had to travel 45 miles out west to ensure that this nut-case buyer wasn't on my my father's property with his crew of five or six relatives working all over the property and in the house. It was an out-of-control, constant-stress nightmare to the very end -- the details of which, if I were pressed for same, I would outline with every ugly fact and photo. It would make a great documentary on the hubris and lack of respect attorneys operate so freely under.
Charlie is great. He has gone above and beyond to help me and my house sale. I would recommend him to anyone!
