Last fall I asked Ms. Petrella to review a purchase agreement for the sale of our second home in northern Michigan, which she did very thoroughly. Some months later I asked her to review the closing documents for this home as well. Again, the work was done in a very thorough and responsive way. The staff at Petrella Brown was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this law firm to my friends and family, and will use them again in the future if the need arises. Raymond R. Having worked with immigration attorneys for 20 years, this is by far one of the best experiences. Sarah is so compassionate and will go beyond, to make sure her clients receive positive results. Although, I have not yet received a response on the case she worked, I am confident that she did the best work on my case.

They don't explain how they estimate the charges. Ms. Patrella estimated 3 hours of work; however, I received a bill for about 5 hours of work. I don't see how the estimated time was nearly double. I would have not done the work if I knew the expenses would be almost double. I feel the method to estimate the charges should be clarified to the client beforehand so the client can use his/her communication with the law firm wisely in order to save the client unnecessary charges. They will charge you minimal of 6 minutes even if they simply review your signature. They gave me a wrong time spot for the first appointment, yet were not very flexible with rescheduling. Otherwise, the work I would say was thorough.
