Unprofessional and apathetic to say the least. My legal plan allowed me to consult with him. When I explained my situation to him and asked him if I needed to get someone to represent me, he said “if you want someone to come hold your hand, you can call around and see if anyone is willing to come”. And when I explained my whole situation to him, “why are you telling me that” as if what I said did not matter. If you’re upset at the rate the legal plan is paying you, don’t participate in it. It is as simple as that. Update to the response posted: Yes, it was a ten-minute call—ten minutes in which you managed to be condescending, dismissive, and blatantly unprofessional; the issue wasn't the duration of the call, it was the way you spoke to me during it. The amount of attention you pay to your clients is clear by the fact that you don't even remember that I am a female. Giving out legal advice can be done without being condescending or rude. You may think you're just “telling the truth,” but there's a difference between being honest and being dismissive. The information I provided was relevant to the issue I was dealing with and that would have been apparent if you had actually listened instead of simply waiting for your turn to speak. If you believe clients often share irrelevant details, perhaps a more constructive approach would be to guide the conversation, not shut it down with “Why are you telling me that?” In addition, if you resent the legal plan or the clients it brings you, have the integrity to opt out instead of taking your frustration out on the people who come to you for help. You weren’t doing me a favor - the time you “gave” me wasn't a favor—you were fulfilling the bare minimum of a professional obligation. If you find that frustrating or beneath you, then, again, it's your choice to opt out. Respect is not optional, even in short conversations. You earned the rating you received.

Robert represented me recently for a few traffic violations. My experience with Robert: - Called Robert and explained the situation. Robert told me I didn't need to go into too much detail, he heard my charges and basically said he was going to work to get them dismissed or the charges lowered. - Robert appeared at the beginning of the hearings while I was waiting in the court room. He was very pleasant, had a smile, told me everything was going to be okay, that he understood how I felt, and he told me to stand by while he talked to the DA. - Robert walked over to the DA, talked to her for about 5 minutes, - The DA stood, said to the judge I would like to ask for a complete dismissal of the charges. With her strong delivery I almost felt like Robert had a strong connection with this DA to convince her to be so strong in my defense. - The judge immediately looked at my file and said yes I was thinking the same thing, case dismissed. Robert said thank you judge, and that was that. I was not charged for any of the charges. I will be having Robert represent me in other matters, if and when they come up.
